About us
Re-Turn AS was founded in 1998 as a R&D company specialised in polymer
and safety related products. The first projects was to develop and sell
composite and polymer based products based on new technology. The company is
located at Øra Industrial Area in Fredrikstad, and has its offices in
Titangaten 1.
The main activities today are in consulting, research and development projects
and products, raw materials and production equipment related to the plastic industry
with focus on nano technology.

Daily manager...

Stein Dietrichson (59) graduated from Vienna in 1973 as a plastics
engineer with additional education in sales and marketing. He has wide experience
from sales and marketing of plastic raw materials and finished products from
German, English and Norwegian multinational companies. In addition he has worked
as factory manager for one of the leading Norwegian pipe producing companies,
as well as for a leading Scandinavian producer of thermoplastic road marking
materials.

Development manager coating systems ...

Paal Skybak (61) is educated chemical engineer. He
has more than 30 years of experience from epoxy, paint and varnish industry.
Paal Skybak has worked as technical service engineer and formulator for epoxy
products for Ciba Geigy and Shell, as well as developed and produced epoxy flooring
coatings. He has a wide contact network in the polymer raw material. World, among
pigment and additive suppliers to the plastic industry and is working as R&D-manager
in Re-Turn.

Technical manager Composites...

Joachim Karthäuser (49) is Ph.D. chemist and has worked internationally in petrochemicals R&D, quality management, sales, business development and management for multinational companies such as Shell and AGA/ Linde Gas, and more recently in start-up companies. His special interests are plastics and rubbers, injection moulding, functional composites, high pressure technology and surface treatment. He coordinates the Eurostars project NMEG, “Development of novel nano-technology surface coatings for wind power installations”, where Re-Turn is the project and consortium leader

Lab. assistant...

Marianne Ryen (38) is educated as a laboratory technician and has 10 years of experience from Norwegian paper industry, where she worked in the laboratory at Peterson Scanproof AS. Marianne has also experience from office work as a secretary. She was employed as lab assistant in the R&D lab at Re-Turn AS I 2009, where she is active in different projects covering developments of nano modified coatings, the Eurostars Program developing gel-coats for wind mills, as well as in the EU’s 7th frame program MUST.

Secretary administration...

Natalia Michalska-Zynda (22) has economics, accountancy and administration. She has previous experience working for an internet net shop with marine products in Poland. She came to Norway more than 1 year ago and has already adopted to Norwegian language as well as being English spoken. Natalia has been employed with Re-Turn as our administration secretary with main tasks within our several projects, reporting, invoicing and other back office tasks.
