Re-Turn participates in innovative wind mill development funded by Eurostars:
Together with our Finnish partner, Amroy OY, Re-Turn recently started a 3 year Eurostars Project to develop nano modified gelcoat for wind mill blades.
Here the carbon nano tube (CNT) dispersion technology developed and owned by Amroy Oy will be the platform in the development of more durable and stronger skin for the composite vulnerable wind mill blades.
The Eurostars project where Re-Turn/Amroy succeeded very well with the application. Landing among upper 10% projects approved by the EU- commission in Brussel shall bring new, abrasion resistant and dirt- and water repellent coatings giving the wind mills better protection, hopefully leading to a longer life expectancy for the blades.
As the project leader for this project, Re-turn has appointed Dr. Joachim Karthäuser as project leader. In addition, several institutes and large companies will be involved in the development process.
